With four principal rooms, formal gardens, and ample space for a marquee, Hill Place can accommodate weddings for parties up to 200. For a more intimate wedding of perhaps 50, the ceremony could take place in the Morning Room; guests could celebrate with drinks in Hall, move to the Dining Room for food and finally fill the Drawing Room with dancing. For larger weddings, guests can be received in the Hall and Morning Room, moving through the garden to a marquee with the house left open in the evening. The Hall is particularly suited to the bride’s entrance, canapés, photograph opportunities and perhaps cake cutting with guests watching from the stairs. With a roaring fire it makes a particularly charming room for winter weddings, seating approximately 50 and accommodating up to 60 celebrating with drinks. The Morning Room can seat 55 for a ceremony, provide a stunning setting for a receiving line or just act as a quieter room for those wishing to sit and chat. The traditional Georgian Drawing Room also enjoys striking views across the park and has the added benefit of a piano. 60 could be seated for a wedding ceremony or drinks and canapés served whilst guests enjoy the setting. The dominant item of the Dining Room is an enormous mirror which reflects the parkland view over the dining table. A maximum of 50 can be seated for a formal meal, or 24 on one single table. The Library is also available for anyone who wants a quiet room, or to enjoy the banks of books by a roaring fire. The two acre formal gardens have been redesigned by noted landscape artist Alex Foster. For larger weddings a marquee seating up to 200 can be easily accommodated.
